how long can i wait Mar 2, 2006 how long can i wait before i start on meds, i have not been tested but i am sure i caught hiv about 3 yrs ago (i was raped) i had the flu like symptoms just after but i am too scared to get tested as i am in a relationship and i am scared my boyfriend will leave me if i find out for sure, i have heard i can wait to go on meds until i start showing symptoms but i dont know what to do for the best. |

 Most patients with HIV can wait to start on medications. However, I think you're putting your emotional and health cart before the horse. You need to get tested for HIV if you think you're at risk. BY | ||||||||
