Feb 25, 2006

we do realized dat we ddint have much knowledge on hiv aids, much of our citizens are the same in jakarta indonesia. we dont have much money 2 buy the medicine. could u help us? please? Saputra

Response from Dr. Wohl

I am unsure how we can help. Your cousin needs medical assistance. He may require medication to treat his liver infection and certainly needs HIV medicines. I do not know how available HIV therapies are in Indonesia or if they are available for free or low cost.

Ask his doctors where HIV medications can be obtained. Are there public clinics or programs run by non-governmental organizations where HIV infected persons are receiving care?

Check out the following link which may link to other contacts that can be helpful.

Also, contact the organizations in this link who should be able to point you in the right direction.
