Reyataz with Food
Jan 21, 2006

First, thanks for all you do Doctor. I have a quick question, I take Reyataz, which should be taken with food. I usually take it after lunch which works well, but sometimes if I am busy I will just have a banana. Is this sufficient food intake for my body to absorb the Reyataz? Thanks

Response from Dr. Young

Here's from the Reyataz website:

"A meal or snack can be a glass of orange juice and some toast. It doesn't have to be a full meal, but it should be more than just something to drink. Even if you're not hungry, eat something small before you take REYATAZ. It'll help REYATAZ work better."

I think that you're ok for the rare occasion, but I'd try to eat just a little more on a regular basis. BY
