I am scared
Jan 17, 2006

I am a student and i have been told to do HIV test but i am very affraid to go for the test because i dont know what the results will be. i am afraid because some of the syptoms of HIV l have read about has happened to me at one point in time before. and also in my former school has a kid in africa, my school nurse has used one injection for almost three students, which makes me really affraid now. I am really scared because i dont know what to do if incase the result comes positive.Advice me on what to do,should i get tested or not.

Response from Dr. Young

Here's the bottom line: if you're not sure about your HIV status, get tested. Nothing we can surmise, from history or symptoms will have any diagnostic certainty without the test. BY
