Can HIV be cured Dec 27, 2005 I am HIV paositive sin last two years. I want to know what stage I am in and it can be cured. I font know what information u would require. So please tell me if there are any chances for it getting cured before its too late. Looking forward for a quick response. Thanking You |

 Thank you for your post. In order to know what stage of HIV disease you have, it would be important to know what your CD4 cell count and viral load are and what symptoms or complications you may have had. Unfortunately, HIV cannot be cured with today's medications. This does not mean that HIV cannot be treated; many of my patients have made fantastic recovery from advanced AIDS and are living full lives. Indeed, HIV medications, while perhaps not perfect, have largely prevented AIDS-related deaths in our clinic. Good health and happy new year, write us back with any additional questions.
