What percentage of the people that take HIV have side effect?
How many people in the United States are currently living with HIV? I have found that their alot of mixed numbers.

Your second question is the easiest-- most recent estimates from the CDC report ~1 million Americans infected with HIV.
As for side effects, it's safe to say that many patients will experience some degree of side effect from medications at one time or another. Most side effects are mild, many abate after just a few doses. There are a minority of patients who experience severe side effects with current medications, but fortunately most have other treatment options.
That said, it's also fair to characterize contemporary first-line regimens as very well tolerated with a large majority of patients experiencing no significant or persistent symptoms. BY
