|Minor resistance to Protease Inhibitors (more details)
Oct 5, 2005
I wrote to you yesterday regarding my resistance report although I am not on meds. The report was as follows. Potential low level resistance to IDV Protease Inhibitors, all others are susceptible (ie: APV, ATV, LPV, NFV, RTV and SQV) Nucleoside RTI i have no resistance present and Non-Nucleoside RTI no resistance present.
I am not on meds but also have had an over active enzyme in my liver - i do not drink much and I do not smoke at all (only passive!!) I eat fairly well, although mybe a little fatty diet.
Any light at the end of the tunnel. hahaha
I also want to say that its great posting messages on here - I think all experts on here are fab!

Nick- Thank you for your post, comments and follow up.
I don't think that your resistance pattern should prove too significant in the long-term. You have plenty of very reasonable first-line PI options that should work very well.
Good luck fighting the battle of second-hand smoke. BY
