Minor resistance of Protease Inhibitors
Oct 3, 2005

I am not on meds but have had a resistance report and told me that I have resistance to IDV Protease Inhibitor. Is this a bad thing? All otehr drugs I'm told I am ok with. whats the deal?

Response from Dr. Young

Thanks for your post.

It's difficult for me to be sure exactly what "minor resistance" actually means-- it's true that low levels of genotypic resistance can nearly always be overcome with today's batch of boosted protease inhibitors.

If you'd like, write back with the details of your report.

Good luck, BY
