viramune Oct 2, 2005 I am a healthy 42 yr old woman. HIV/HCV+ 19+ yrs. CD4 600-800. VL undetectable. Liver-level 1 never treated.I have been taking Viread, Viramune, and Emtriva for 2 yrs, and grow increasingly concerned about Viramune. Based on current recommendations, I am wondering if this is a good choice for me?? |

 There is a higher risk of liver toxicity with Viramune (within the first few months of initiation) so we are not typically starting women with more than 250 CD4 cells on Viramune. But since you are already on Viramune and doing well there should be no problem continuing. Thanks for posting and good luck. | ||||||||
