New Regimen refrigeration vs keeping out in the open
Sep 24, 2005

Dr, I'm starting a new treatment regimen from being treatment naive for 3 years (if you want my numbers, here they are cd4 440, abs percentage 19%, viral load >100000) of Reyataz 2:day, with a Norvir booster 1:day, and Truvada 1:day. Since I live in the High desert, Where daytime temperatures reach in the triple digits, I have to refrigerate my Norvir. I want to know if it's ok to keep my medications (Reyataz and Truvada) out in room temperature in this environment, providing I keep them in a dark place. Thanks for your assistance

Response from Dr. Young

Thanks for your post.

Unless the inside of your home is triple digits, it would be fine to leave up to one month's worth of all your medications at room temperature. Dark or light doesn't matter, it's the temp. BY
