| Time to start meds? May 18, 2005 Diagnosed in Sept. 2001.Cd4 has remained above 550. Load has been from 7,000 to 32,000. However, this past test CD4 was in the 600's and viral load was 93,000. My PC says to recheck in 6 months. My insurance is no problem, should I wait 6 months , or should I request it earlier? I occasionally have some minor lymph tenderness in neck area. I am treatment naieve. Thanks so much for your efforts. |

Response from Dr. Young
Thanks for your post. I usually check labs for my patients every 3-4 months, particularly if there's been a change in the trends (like your viral load). I don't think that you're in any danger, though-- your CD4 count is in the normal range. Further, don't fret; there's a good chance that your viral load might come down with the next set of labs. Good luck, good health to you. BY | |||||||||
