I hate HIV too, but I hate depression more. If you are depressed get treated promptly because depression is also life threatening. It is difficult enough to manage an HIV infection. The amount of self advocacy is phenomenal. With depression it can be insurmountable. I had a viral load of 1 million and also experience blurred vision, which was resolved with treatment by Haart. I had a year of chronic diarhea from the infection and my treatment. I just switched to a more tolerable regimen and now I am having trouble knowing what to do with all the extra energy. I know that things can get worse, but I also know things can get better. If you treat yourself objectively as if you are your own patient and work with your doctor I believe HIV can become incedental (although always present) to your general life and well being. Good Luck.
