| Could she really be negative Mar 13, 2005 Several Negative tests while in military up to 2001.Also In what I believe was a monogamous relationship for 21/2 years. A child was born & was 1 year old in Feb 2005. I was sick for most of the time Really sick the last 8 months. Tested Positive Early Jan.this year. Had 2nd also positve. Stunned to find out cd count 10 & viral load 402,624. Started Meds.3 weeks ago. She & I split up 8 months ago & she claims she is Negative. Baby was tested at birth & also negative. Please tell me if this every happens. I am worried sick for My daughter. Also wondering If mother was positive & never told me. I hope this question is not out of line. My world is falling down around Me & I'm just trying to put things in some sort of prospective. |

Thanks for your post. Yes, this is possible. While it would be reasonable for your former partner to get follow up HIV testing, if she is really HIV negative, it's not possible for her to transmit HIV to your daughter. Good luck, BY | |||
