I'd be concerned about the use of alternative triple NRTI regimens, such as tenofovir/ddI/FTC-- there is scant clinical data about the combination and the available data suggests that there may very well be superior alternatives. Assuming that you've been prescribed this as first-line treatment of HIV, there are clearly superior options that can have similar low pill count, for example: Truvada (tenofovir/FTC) or Epzicom (abacavir/3TC) with efavirenz (Sustiva)-- each result in a two pill, once-daily first line regimen.
