|HIV+ with Sores on my Body
Dec 1, 2004
I have these sores on my body that look like cigarette burns. They are round, red, look like scares, and are a little indented. I bought some Gold Bond lotion to see if it was caused form dry skin and so far it hasn't worked. My sister has psorisis but it only effects the woman in my family and every other generation but I didn't know if I was an exception. I also didn't know if it had to do with my being positive. I am not on any meds and I have only been positive for a little over a year. Thanks for your time!
Response from Dr. Young
Thanks for your question.
It's very difficult to accurately diagnose skin conditions over the web (sometimes it is difficult, even when you see the lesions in person). Because of this, I'd hesitate to even try to guess what your particular sores are related to, but rather, would strongly suggest that you bring these to your doctor's attention. BY
