|T20 with 3TC?
Jan 27, 2004
I notice that T20 and 3TC have the fewest and least health threatening side effects. Also, neither causes grotesque visual effects, like myopathy or lipoatrophy. Can the two be taken in combination? Or are they not potent enough together?
Response from Dr. Wohl
T-20 is very new so the long term effects of this agent, if any, are not known. 3TC actually suffers from the opposite - it has been around a long time but is always taken with other drugs that tend to overshadow it in the efficacy and toxicity departments.
These two can be coupled but probably need to be used with other agents.
