Response from Dr. Boyle

I can't tell you which medications to start at this point, although it sounds like your past treatment may significantly limit your options. The first step is to obtain a resistance test. Combining this information with your medication history will help your doctor select what medications might work for you. Then, you and your doctor need to work together to come up with a combination of these medications that you can take and tolerate. Also, you need to have a plan about how to keep you on the medications once you start them by dealing with side effects and other issues that might interfere with that.
