H ONE V. H TWO
Nov 4, 2003

Dr. Wohl,

Is there any difference realistically for life expectancy differences for hiv 2 vs. hiv 1?

Thanks

Jason

Response from Dr. Wohl

Data indicate that the course of HIV-2 is slower than untreated HIV-1 but this must be re-examined given the number of potent HIV-1 therapies we now have - most not known to suppress HIV-2.
