generics or just brand names. Oct 19, 2003 Hi Dr. Young, I applaud you for all the great answers you provide to this site. We are all soooo grateful! Keep doing the great work! I am new to the process, and was writing to inquire whether or not generics are sold that are more affordable in the United States to brand name medications? If they are, which do you recommend: the brand name or generics? Do generics usually cause more unknown side effects in general? What is the price difference say for Viread and its generics thanks?
