recent infection and meds
Oct 14, 2003

Hi recently tested postive 5 months after known infection- I am waiting on my CD4s and Viral loads but otherwise asymptomatic except for a lyumph node under my chin is hard... my doctor says most likely it will be years before I start- waiting on counts though- is this standard? Also will I have a chance of reaching my 60s (am late 20s) My doctor says its lucky I found so early so there ais good hope I might live to my 60s.... is this realistic or am I looking at dying soon??

thanks for your patience to read this, it helps

Response from Dr. Young

I agree with your doctor on this-- make sure that you don't assume that either I or your doctor is absolutely correct, though. The best way to ensure your long-term health is to get regular, routine clinical and laboratory monitoring.

Good luck and long health-- BY
