Dementia a thing of the past?
Aug 3, 2003

I just became infected recently, and was meeting with a social worker who said dementia isn't seen too much anymore. Is this a national trend or just maybe in this one practice?

Response from Dr. Young

I'd think that this is a trend seen across the US.

We've certainly seen much less complications of HIV (including dementia) since the advent of HAART. BY
