Apr 28, 2003
i am diagnosed since a year, and although i have no phisically problems, i'd like to be more fit and make my immun system better. I dont really believe in alternative medicins, but i've read about products, like Echinacea or VIBE-una de gato. What do you think about these natural "push up" products, have they any sence or are they even dangerous? Thank you for your anwser, susanna
Response from Dr. Boyle
The efficacy of alternative medications is one we struggle with. While most are utterly worthless, and only serve to "push up" the manufacturers profits, some do have limited value. With that said, there is absolutely no convincing evidence that these medications do anything for your immune system or to keep you more fit. Still, if you want to use them, use of them in moderation is unlikely to do any harm, However, you should check with your doctor before doing so to make sure that you are not on any medications that they may interact with or have any other reason hat you should not take them.
