Thanks for the answer re. the liver. I tested neg for hep c before. But maybe I got exposed when I got exposed to hiv? Damn. And this for a guy who always made sure condoms were used when having anal sex.

It's quite possible that you don't have hep C.
I certainly wouldn't make more of this until you and your doctor know more. Your correct, though in the statement that if you got HIV, it's possible that you've been at risk for other infections too.
Clearly the condoms didn't prevent acquisition of HIV.
