Thanks for the observation. The fact is that many of the nucleoside analogs were first developed as possible cancer drugs. A large library of candidate compounds are often screened for activity against new targets, like viruses. This is, by the way, how we have discovered drugs with activity against herpes viruses and hepatitis B. BY | |||||||||
