| treatment start- CD4 count 200 May 26, 2002 Hello from the uk My partner has a CD4 count of 200 and a viral load of 24000. Should we now start treatment or wait a little loner. He is healthy at the moment but is on Septrum twice a day. regards JOHN |

John- Most would agree that starting therapy would be indicated. This is not emergent, but I'd recommend starting as soon as reasonable. What the later means is-- taking care of ongoing psychiatric, substance dependency issues, making sure that patient education and support networks are established. Hope this helps, BY | |||||||||
