doc.my reg doctoe did a long range blood test on me for my diabetes sence my hiv meds seem to have been making my numbers rise in the morning.it came back 5.6 this is the lowest it has ever been sence 97 when i started seeing him for diabetes.he told me this is a normal range for a non diabetic.and thinks it might be that i quit drinking jan2002 when i found out about the hiv and started eating better,however he told me i have large red blood cells.what does large red blood cells mean? thanks

Large red blood cells are a common finding among persons taking nucleoside RT inhibitors. This usually is not a pathologic condition, but reflects an effect of the medication on the maturation of the cells. BY
