| Kaletra & Agenerase dosage adjustment Mar 17, 2002 I have been taking Kaletra (3 capsules BID) and my doctor just changed my regimine including addingagenerase (600 mg BID). I know that the amount of agnerase has to be adjusted with kaletra, is this a correct dose? The other drugs I'm taking are Epivir and Zerit. According to a recent genotype these are the only drugs left that are affective.(alhough according to the test Zerit is not but he is keeping me on it) Any thoughts? |

Response from Dr. Aberg
I usually prescribe 4 tablets of Kaletra twice a day with Agenerase 750 mg (5 tablets) twice a day based on some preliminary studies noting that each drug can decrease the other one. The epivir and zerit should be standard dose unless you have kidney disease or weigh less tha 60 kilograms. | |||||||||
