| Dr. Young, why don't some people get ARS? Feb 10, 2002 Dr. Young: why is there some people who do not experience ARS? Is it they do not recall having it or it just never happens to them? Thanks for your reply. |

Great question, unfortunately there is not great data on the variation of symptoms that people experience during ARS. We do know much about persons who, for a variety of reasons seek medical attention (usually because of symptoms)-- however, as for those who don't have symptoms or who are detected later, there is less known. Why this is, seems to be a bit of a mystery, but must relate to the kind of host immune responses that are generated by the virus in the individual. BY | |||||||||
