|Taking Stocrin with Videx EC
Jan 30, 2002
I am on a Retrovir-Videx-Stocrin therapy, taking at the moment Retrovir 3 pills twice a day (9am - 9 pm), Videx EC at 6pm on an empty stomach and Stocrin before bedtime. Is it OK to take Stocrin with Videx EC before bedtime (on an empty stomach of course)? Do you have any other suggestions that could allow me for a "medications-free zone" between late morning and evening? Thank you for your support on simplifying our lives with something we cannot do without. Panos.

Yes, you should be able to take Videx EC, Retrovir and Stocrin together so that you are on a true twice daily regimen, with your evenings free of medications. You should continue to try to take Retrovir roughly every 12 hours, so if you are taking it with your other bedtime meds you may need to adjust the timing of your AM dose a little. Also, you should make sure you discuss this with your doctor and inform him/her what you are doing.
