|natural remedies for curing nail fungus
Oct 9, 2000
Are there any foods or drinks that I can consume that may help cure my nail fungus, while I try the tea tree oil. I have tried a drug prescribed by my doctor and had to stop the treatment because of an allergic reaction (rash). I am open to any natural remedies that may be suggested as a drug alternative. Thanks you for your time! Effie

I am probably not as well informed as I should be about non traditional treatments, but I don't know of any that work for nail fungus. It is a very difficult problem, even with standard treatment.
You say you had an allergic reaction to one treatment that your doctor prescribed. There are two different treatments that are used. One is terbinafine (Lamisil). The other is itraconazole (Sporanox). If you had an allergic reaction to one, the other may still be a good option. There are dosing regimens that use intermittent therapy. Talk with your doctor or with a dermatologist.
