Drugs taken exact time every day?
May 10, 2008

Hi there, I have noticed a couple times that people have written and asked if they take their meds a few hours late if that is ok? However both times the people were on Atripla and it seems that has a long lasting drug action so they were told yes that is fine. So I am curious for other drugs? I am on Epsicom, Norvir, Reyataz. I started 2 monthes ago. I have not missed a dose. Long story short, I have a job that is on call. Sometimes I am up late and sometimes not. So I have decided to take my drugs in the afternoon. For 2 monthes I take them between noon and 3pm. I have never been later or earlier than those times!. So it is sometimes up to a 3 hour difference. Is this ok? And if I can be more detailed about it 2monthes is along time. I have never taken the drugs at noon one day and then 3 the next day. What has happened is it slowly staggers back and forth by a bout a half hour to an hour. Sometimes it creeps back closer to noon for a week. Then for some reason I will get up late at 1pm and take it. Then 1:30 for a few days. Then maybe 2:15 for the next 4 days. Then maybe back to 1:15pm for 1 day and then 2:45 the next 2 days. So you see what I am saying. The whole 2 monthes it's always been between 12 and 3pm but I have never taken it 3 hours apart. More so it generally slides slowly a half hour or so either way for a week or so and then slowly creeps back earlier then later over a few day period, but always within 12 to 3. Is that ok?
