|Chondroitin, Glucosamine, & PI's

I am currently on Fortovase, Norvir, Zerit, Epivir, and Paxil. I have for some time experienced grinding and stiffness in my knees (I am 49), and am considering using chondroitin and/or glucosamine to protect them. Is there any research contraindicating using these additives?
Thanks in advance!

I am not aware of any studies, but these are proteins and the likelihood of their interfering with your medicine is very low. I do not think it should be a problem. My orthopedist reccommended it for me and I have been taking chondrotin for several years ( I am also 49). I think it helps! Good luck! Douglas T. Dieterich, M.D.
