AIDS Ride
Apr 9, 2001

I've been HIV + for 13 years never any IO's or anything great health..undetectable VL CD4 750...any issues with doing long distance biking. AIDS Ride in NY to Boston - I have been training for almost 3 months and no issues...should I be concerned about the ride.

Response from Dr. Dieterich

There should be no problem with a bike ride if you have been training. Exercise can certainly help the immune system in moderation. If you were running frequent marathons, then I would be concerned, but it sounds like you are doing it right by training beforehand. Good luck with the ride! DTD
