Response from Dr. Moyle
Yes, it can help with fat accumulations and may improve lipids. It is generally well tolerated but may increase gas a bit initially. The usual dose is 500mg twice daily with a reasonable trial of therapy being 3 months. It will not help fat loss and some people lose weight on metformin so it is best suited to people who are a bit overweight with the extra weight mainly in the belly regards Graeme Moyle |
