Lyposuction
Oct 12, 2003

When a person has an abdomenal lyposuction are there complications and how often do a person have to go back after the procedure.

Response from Dr. Moyle

Liposuction cannot be used to remove that from inside the abdomen. If you have a problem with fat accumulation inside the abdomen rather than under the skin then the first starting point is dietary advice with increasing exercise and are discussing with your doctor whether additional therapy is such as an insulin sensitiser (metformin) or hormone therapy with growth hormone may be of assistance. Best wishes

Graeme Moyle
