| my 11 year old with this Jul 10, 2003 My son is only 11 and was diagosed with Lipodystrophy. He does NOT have Aids......Why would he get this? how can I help him? where should I take him? Sincerely Katherine |

There is not enough information here to help. If he is not HIV positive then the diagnosis would be a lipodystrophy of either an acquired (mostly auto-immune) or inherited form. There is an NIH centre that focuses on these types of lipodystrophy and your doctor would refer him to these specialists Please write back if this is not enough information Graeme |
