I hear a lot of references to HGH. I know of its huge expense and that it has been approved to treat wasting but has it been approved to treat Lipodystrophy? Will some insurance companies pay for it?
Response from Dr. Dieterich
Yes some will but there has to be a really good reason because of the enormous expense. There can be an issue with it as well, because it can cause insulin resistance which can add to lipodystrophy. It clearly needs to be studied. DTD
