PLEASE HELP DR {NOT ABOUT SEX} {INDIA}
Aug 17, 2002

HI COULD I BE EXPOSED TO HIV IF MY EXPOSURE WAS DRAWING BLOOD FOR A DIABETES TEST? I DO NOT KNOW WHETHER THE SYRINGE WAS NEW OR OLD? PLZZ ADVISE.

Response from Ms. Fields-Gardner

If you received blood or used a used needle/syringe there is a possibility that you might be exposed to HIV. Check with your doctor to see about what can be done, such as medications to prevent a an active infection and testing to be sure about your serostatus.
