nurtition- eggs
Apr 12, 2002

I read that when you are + that you're not supposed to eat runny yolks on eggs. What if you steam them half shut,or cook them someother way. Help because I love eggs.

Response from Ms. Fields-Gardner

You can eat eggs (unless there is another reason why you shouldn't... such as allergies). The issue with eggs is one of food safety. You just need to buy them fresh, keep them stored in your refrigerator at an appropriate temperature, use them within their "use by" date, and cook them to an appropriate temperature.

You will want to avoid raw eggs that are found in meringues, Caeser salad dressing, and mousse-type desserts, among others.
