Started Serostim/benefit signs?
Dec 7, 2003

My ID Dr has started me on Serostim, due to weight loss. I have injected 6mg once per day now for 12 days. How long and what type of benefits should I see typically? The first week of treatment was rough, achey in muscles at night and frequent urinating, but am doing fine now. My insurance is also bulking at the 200 a day (avg ) cost after Oxandrin and Testoserone stopped working though. What type of documentation due they want for coverage to be applicable? One month supply was over 6 thousand dollars US. Thank You - Daniel

Response from Dr. Moyle

Dear Daniel, About 1 month for benefits to be obvious. If you are having side effects, using half the dose may (should) improve this and should give similar benefits at a lower cost. If you are peeing a lot make sure your doctor checks blood sugars regularly. As I am not a US physician I can't help with documentation issues...try Nelson Vergel's forum
