Response from Dr. Henry
Blood pressure can be a challenge to control in some patients with or without HIV infection. An assessment of kidney function is worthwhile in this setting. I seek consultation with either a heart or kidney specialist when I have a patients with hard to control high blood pressure. In the absence of significant kidney problems usually not related to the HIV infection. KH
