 A minimal alcohol intake will not have adverse effects. However, Alcohol can affect the immune system by depressing some T cell function. In addition, one has to be careful with chronic ingestion. Because there may be additive effects of alcohol associated with HIV meds or other meds, hepatitis C virus infection, that could cause hepatitis or cirrhosis. | ||||||||
