| Persistent Swollen Lymph Nodes Oct 29, 2001 Hi, Dr., I have swollen lymph nodes around my neck and my groin area for several years. Usually they appear to be 2-3 nodes on each side about the size of pea (2 cm in diameter). Sometimes if I didn't have enough sleep, I got painful nodes. I am 22 years old and have not been dianosed for HIV. Is swollen lymph nodes (like in my case) always related to HIV? |

Swollen lymph nodes are a very nonspecific sign, and can result from many different infections or diseases. | |||||||||
