| Subtypes in Central America Sep 28, 2001 I had a possible exposure to hiv in El Salvador and recently had a DNA PCR (4 weeks after exposure). I am a little concerned that some DNA tests don't pick up all subtypes. Is subtype B the most prevalent type in Central America and if not, how reliable are DNA tests with other subtypes? Thank you very much. |
