| UNUSUAL TEST RESULTS? Jul 19, 1999 Hi Doctor. I believe I was infected in January, 1999. Tested positive June 14, 1999. Received inital test results, with viral load <50 copies and CD4 of 408. Are these results unusual. My doctor is having more tests done. Also, I have signed up for the ABT-378 study. Will receiving the trial drug or viracept affect my future treatment options. |

All HIV treatment may affect future treatment options. If you go on therapy with a viral load < 50, there will be no viral load to assess the efficacy of the regimen, so an increase in the CD4 count is all that one can measure. Both of those protease inhibitors are very potent, in combination with other meds. MH | |||||||||
