| very worried Sep 14, 2001 hi, I recently had an illness that included: - nausea when eating - diaarhea - joint pain in my left hand. It did not feel like flu, although i had a mild fever for one day. I was also under a lot of stress at the time. Is this typical of initial hiv infection? Please answer, i really don't know what else would cause these symptons. |

HIV symptoms are very nonspecific. Many viral infections can cause the same kind of symptom complex. The symptoms you describe could be HIV related or caused by many other viruses. | |||
