| ELISA Neg. yet bDNA shows 68 / partII May 25, 1999 If you recall, i had a possible exposure about 22 months ago, tested 2 times elisa negative, then had a biopsy confirmed oral hairy leukoplakia, since had hiv-1 and 2 elisa and a western blot for hiv-1 all negative, cd4 766, but had a bDNA of 68. You have suggested that i'm probably negative but i should repeat the bDNA or have a PCR. Well i got the hiv-1 pcr results and it was negative. so am i basically negative, or should i have any further tests done??? (i'd like to put this behind me!!!) I'm especially concerned as i had the hairy leukoplakia and now i read about one of the readers who tested negative for years, then had OHL and now is positive???) Is OHL a source for concern? I'd appreciate your comments. Thanks. |
