My last risk was receiving oral sex without a condom back in November of 1997. Now, in August 1998 I have had 4 HIV antibody tests, not just for HIV 1 & II and I have had 3 PCR DNA's & 1 RNA by Roche..........AL HAVE BEEN NEGATIVE>>>>>>>>>>>I AM AT A HUGE, HUGE LOSS!!!!!!!!! Can you shead any light on this?? Had tested negative for Cancer of the blood, but have not been checked for other immune problems.......should this be stressed related.............THANK YOU A BUNCH!!!! |

Response from Dr. Holodniy
It sounds from the number and types of tests you have received and the timing from potential HIV exposure, that HIV infection is extremely unlikely. Many other people have related symptoms such as yours. Other diagnoses (such as other infections like CMV and EBV and malignancies)should be ruled out. Never underestimate stress related conditions. Good Luck. MH | |||
