Please help all of us out by answering this question?
Sep 8, 2001

Dear Dr. Holodniy, First of all, I want to thank you for taking all this time to answer most of the question posted in this site. Your Viral Load section seem to have the most information and I can see that you DO CARE about us out here with less knowledge than you. I would like to ask you this question that you recently refused to give out informations on symtoms. regarding about what would warrant more testing done on HIV after 6 months period. I know that it is rare but there are people out there (may be none) that could benefit from your answer. You could be saving or at least prolonging their live a little bit longer by getting early treatment. I sincerely do not think that your answer of symtoms could cause any harm or created a panic for people with conditions resemble HIV infection after 6 months period. Please take this into consideration because may be with the informations, it could put alots of us our here at ease. Thank you again for your professionlism. I enjoyed reading your forum and lok forward to your answer.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

Nope won't do it. There is a danger, as has happened several times before on this forum, that specific explanations are interpreted too literally. If I were to discuss a certain cancer, people would immediately know they have it. I think this is best handled by the patient with their own practitioner or a local ID consultant.
