| quick one Sep 8, 2001 Dr Holodniy, Thanks for taking the time to read this question and I hope that you can answer. I had and encounter with a high risk women. Had the symptoms to HIV and Herpes. Took the herpes IGG/HIV test at 3 and 6 months. I also had the pockit test (the new herpes blood test approved by the FDA) done at 6 and 1/2 months all came back negative, but I have all the symptoms to herpes (no blisters just prodrome and redness on the head, and burning underneath the shaft on my penis). IMPORTANT PART-- So if I am testing negative to a herpes test and an HIV test at 6 months, and both are coming back negative could it be that I really am HIV and/or Herpes infected and my antibody level isn't high enough yet?!?! |

Response from Dr. Holodniy
If one is infected with those two viruses, the antibody tests will be positive. | |||
